Dave and Kody Lyons, longtime Gallatin Valley residents, are the husband-and-wife team behind Lyons Excavation. Dave grew up across Montana and settled in Bozeman during high school. After earning a degree from Montana State University, he followed his early passion for heavy equipment into the excavation field, bringing over 40 years of hands-on experience to the company. Kody, a multigenerational Bozeman local, also graduated from MSU before earning a degree in Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington. She later joined Dave to help grow their family business, now serving as Vice President and business manager.

Together, Dave and Kody have built Lyons Excavation into a respected local company through steady growth, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to employee well-being and quality workmanship.

Growing up in the industry in northern Wisconsin, Cullan gained hands-on experience from an early age. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Montana State University and has over a decade of experience in residential, commercial, and civil excavation. As the leader of Lyons Excavation, he is committed to delivering high-quality work with a focus on efficiency and integrity. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, horseback riding, skiing, and traveling. His deep-rooted industry knowledge and passion for the outdoors drive his dedication to excellence in every project. 

As an Excavation Superintendent at Lyons, Ryan has been a vital part of the company's success since joining in 2013. Originally from Chestertown, New York, Ryan brings strong leadership and technical expertise to every project. He holds a bachelor's degree in Equine Science, reflecting his lifelong passion for horses. Outside of work, Ryan is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, horseback riding, and spending time in the mountains. A former competitive ski racer, he excels in challenging environments—both on the slopes and on the job site. His dedication and drive are key assets to Lyons' team.
